Bluetooth Laser Keyboard
Can my new LCD HDTV interfere (infrared) with my laser mouse?
I’m using my TV as a computer display. I have a Logitech MX5000 bluetooth keyboard/laser mouse combo that was working great when using it in front of my older Samsung DLP HDTV. Now I’ve upgraded to an Aquos LCD HDTV and the mouse doesn’t seem to work well (erratic, very slow cursor) when I’m seated in front of the display. I also noticed that my IR remote controls are tougher to get to work when the TV is on. Could all of this be infrared interference, and if so, is there a solution to the problem?
A lot of LCD panels cause interference with wireless devices such as mice and keyboards. Try moving the mouse or keyboard to a slightly different position. If that doesn’t work, try a different kind of wireless device — for example, something that uses RF, or a different frequency.
