Ok, it’s Team NHL vs some russian superleague/aliens/whatever. It’s game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals and you’re down one goal with 45 seconds to go. It’s a face off in the offensive end.
You can pick any six players (since you pulled the goalie) from the NHL to put on the ice.

for me it’s
Pavel Datsyuk – wins 56% of his faceoffs and is one of the best set-up men in the league
Ilya Kovalchuk – one of the best goal scorers and snipers in the NHL
Alexander Ovechkin – do you even need an explanation? this guy is pure beast
Evegeni Malkin – yes, I picked him over Crosby, despite his epic fail against the Wings in the playoffs. a big body plus shoot first attitude equals win.
Nick Lidstrom – yes, he’s getting older but he still has a laser from the blue line and also he an uncanny ability of keeping the puck in the zone
Dion Phaneuf – it was a toss up between Gonchar, Zubov, and Phaneuf
I hope Datsyuk, Ovechkin, Malkin, Kovalchuk are not gone to the Super league by then.
